I can somewhat understand offering the option to install it. Somewhat. Personally, I would not offer it, were I in your shoes. But crowing about it on your blog? How embarrassing for you.

I had been considering expanding my DigitalOcean usage now that there are Canadian-based server options, but that's done. I'll be moving to a domestic cloud provider.

I should maybe mention that the core issue here is that they've donated money to David Heinemeier-Hansson (DHH), who I talked about in the 1password post that I linked above.

Doing a bit of digging around today, I noticed that his wikipedia page says he moved from Denmark to Illinois at one point.

Not sure where he currently lives, but if it's not his home country then maybe he should shut up about how to handle immigrants. Leopards who eat faces don't care who the faces belong to.

You may also want to be on the lookout for the other Weird Little Guys of OSS. Some of them form a fashy clique. Others just have some (by comparison) minorly problematic beliefs and opinions.
